Daniel Rodriguez Returns to Faith Church

“The Singing Policeman”

Daniel brought the country an uplifting spirit of promise and hope with his stirring performances after the September 11 attacks. Formal voice training began early, and he gave a recital at Carnegie Hall while still a teenager. Singing remained his passion, though it did not always pay the bills. At age 30 he joined the New York City Police Department and became known as “The Singing Policeman.”

On September 11, 2001, Officer Rodriguez responded as a police officer and witnessed the destruction of the World Trade Center. His nationally televised performance at “Prayer for America” in Yankee Stadium gave strength to a grieving nation and transformed his music career into a calling.

We are excited to welcome Daniel back and invite the entire community to join us and experience the blessing of his voice.

Our Kurtzmann baby grand piano is looking for someone to give it a second life. The piano does need some repair, but it’s free to whoever can give it a new home.

When are your worship services?
