Rev. Dr. Bruce C. Stevenson (Pastor Bruce) was ordained to the Christian Ministry on August 11, 1985 and was elected as the Lead Pastor of Faith United Church of Christ in January 1991. During these years he has led the congregation through many seasons and congregational changes of ministry. Pastor Bruce earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Gordon College in Wenham, MA in 1980, his Master of Divinity at Gordon – Conwell Theology Seminary in South Hamilton, MA in 1985, and his Doctor of Ministry in Renewal of the Church for Mission from Palmer Theological Seminary in Wynnewood, PA in 2009. He has also studied Congregational Leadership from a Systems Perspective with Dr. Edwin Friedman and continues these studies at the Center for Family Process in Rockville, MD. He has completed several church leadership programs at the Lombard Peace Center in Lombard, IL and Congregational Coaching at the Center for Congregational Development in Chicago, IL. Pastor Bruce has been married to the Rev. Dr. Patience Stevenson, a Marriage and Family Therapist, since 1985. They have two grown children. Ethan and his wife Alissa reside in Washington, DC and Catherine who resides in Bethlehem, PA In his spare time Pastor Bruce enjoys reading history, visiting museums, traveling, watching movies, attending the theater, collecting, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. A native of Massachusetts, Pastor Bruce is an avid, yet often suffering, Boston Red Sox fan and an unrepentant supporter of the New England Patriots!
