The Great Commission
The Great Commission of Christ calls us to share the Gospel locally (“Judea”), regionally and nationally (“Samaria”), and to the ends of the earth (“Globally”).
Faith UCC fulfills this calling through active partnerships and sponsorships that meet human needs, offer hope, and share Christ’s love in tangible ways.
Our mission efforts reach across three levels:
Local: Helping Hands Fund, Southern Lehigh Samaritan Fund, and Betty Lou’s Pantry
Regional: The Caring Place, Allentown Rescue Mission, and The Lehigh Conference of Churches
Global: Church World Service, Souper Bowl of Caring, The Trevor Project, Pitt-Hopkins Research Foundation, Beyond Borders, and UCC Special Offerings
Community Partnerships
Building strong relationships with local organizations such as The Caring Place, Allentown Rescue Mission, and Lehigh Conference of Churches to uplift our neighbors in need.
Food & Shelter Ministries
Supporting programs like Betty Lou’s Pantry, Helping Hands Fund, and Southern Lehigh Samaritan Fund, which provide food, housing, and hope to families in our community.
Joyful Noise Collection
Extending care beyond our walls through Joyful Noise Offerings, child sponsorships, and UCC Special Offerings that bring education, relief, and compassion to communities around the world.
Faith Mission Team in Action
From neighborhood food drives to global partnerships, Faith UCC is actively involved in mission all year long.
Together, we celebrate that mission can be fun—from our annual Soup & Chili Cook-Off and Spring Bingo Fundraiser to creative initiatives like the “Be an Angel” program, where members design and carry out their own service projects.
Behind every mission project are stories of lives touched, hope restored, and communities strengthened. From providing meals to families in need to raising funds for global disaster relief, these ministries remind us that small acts of kindness can create ripples of change.
