In the United Church of Christ, we celebrate two sacraments—Baptism and Holy Communion—and honor other rites that mark important milestones in life and faith. These sacred moments are ways we experience God’s grace, connect with one another, and embody our covenant as a community of faith.
Baptism: Welcomed Into God’s Family
Baptism is a visible sign of God’s love and our welcome into the family of faith. At Faith UCC, baptism is offered to people of all ages—infants, children, youth, and adults—as a reminder that God’s grace is present throughout our lives. Through the waters of baptism, we celebrate belonging, covenant, and new life in Christ.
Funerals: Honoring Life, Offering Comfort
In times of loss, the church provides sacred space to grieve, remember, and give thanks for the life of a loved one. Our pastor and staff walk alongside families in planning memorial services and funerals, offering comfort, care, and the hope of resurrection.
Confirmation: Affirming the Journey of Faith
Confirmation is an opportunity for youth to explore their faith more deeply, learn about the church, and affirm the promises of baptism. Guided by our pastor and mentors, confirmands grow in understanding and prepare to take on the joys and responsibilities of full church membership.
Communion: A Table of Grace
Holy Communion is a sacred meal where we gather around Christ’s table to remember God’s love, share bread and cup, and strengthen our faith for service in the world. At Faith UCC, we practice an open table—meaning that everyone, without exception, is welcome to receive the bread and cup. Communion is typically celebrated on the first Sunday of the month and during holy seasons.
Weddings: Celebrating Covenant Love
Faith UCC is honored to host weddings for couples seeking to celebrate their love in the presence of God and community. As an Open and Affirming congregation, we joyfully celebrate the marriages of all couples, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. Our pastor works closely with couples to plan a meaningful, personal, and faith-filled ceremony.
